Code of Conduct

RLS GLOBAL strives to create added value for customers, employees, suppliers and shareholders while contributing to sustainable social development. In order to achieve this, we take a proactive approach to good business ethics and social responsibility. We consider the climate and the environment and strive to build long-term relationships characterised by mutual trust. The Code of Conduct provides guidance by describing our values and the requirements we have for employees and business partners.

About Code of Conduct

The foundation for the Code of Conduct is comprised of RLS GLOBAL’s core values, which provide guidance in all we do. The Code of Conduct is based on the UN Global Com pact’s ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour legislation, the environment and anticorruption. The principles of the Code of Conduct are also based on the U N’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights the International Labour Organization, ILO’s fundamental conventions concerning rights at work, number 29, 87, 98, 100, 105, 111, 138 and 182, UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, article 32, and all work related health and safety legislation in the manufacturing country- the labour law, including legislation on minimum wage and the relevant social security insurance, in the manufacturing country. The Code of Conduct applies to everyone at the at RLS GLOBAL AB, from the board of directors and the management to individual employees, and the content of the Code shall be respected and followed. We require that the Code of Conduct is respected and followed by our business partners (customers, collaboration partners, suppliers). The Code of Conduct comprises a general framework, complemented with detailed rules and guidelines in specific area.

We are honest and caring for our customers, patients and colleagues. We only make promises that we can keep and deliver. We strive to improve in everything we do. This means that all of us, irrespectively of role, position or work task, actively seek ways to improve what we do and how we do it. Our credibility is built on trustworthiness in everything we say and do.

Our focus is on Caring for the Patients, developing efficient and safe products that offer gentle treatment methods. We always strive to exceed customer expectations and support the Healthcare Professionals based on our knowledge and experience. We aim to be the partner that always creates better value for you.

Human Rights & Working Conditions

We strive for excellence in our treatment of employees and are committed to offering fair terms and conditions of employment. Our Values, Code and employment policies support the principles contained in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization Fundamental Principles and Labour Standards. Together we commit to:

  • Provide fair and equitable wages, working hours, benefits and other conditions of employment in accordance with applicable laws
  • Recognize and respect employees' right to freedom of association and collective bargaining
  • Provide human and safe working conditions
  • Prohibit forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking and ensure that any association with the Company is made by free choice
  • Promote a workplace free of discrimination and harassment

The universal Declaration of Human rights as defined by the United Nations shall always be respected in everything we do. RLS GLOBAL employees are based in Sweden. Our workplace shall be safe and secure. We consider employee health and job satisfaction central issues. RLS GLOBAL does not accept employment conditions that do not meet the minimum standards of national and local legislation or the ILO’s fundamental conventions

  • The abolition of child labour (ILO 138 and 182) Child labour, as defined by the ILO convention, is not permitted
  • The elimination of forced labour (ILO 29 and 105) The use of forced- or compulsory labour is not accepted.
  • The elimination of discrimination (ILO 100 and 111) Discrimination based on ethnicity, sex, religion, social background, handicap, political opinion or sexual orientation must not occur.
  • Decent wages and working hours
  • Freedom of association and collective bargaining (ILO 87 and 98).

Environment

Our mission is to develop products that help healthcare professionals achieve better treatment outcomes based on patient and Healthcare Professionals needs within Oral Care and Wound Care. Whilst doing so we shall contribute to a sustainable social development and work continually to prevent environmental risks and minimise our impact. Our environmental management shall be systematic and integrated in our processes and our Quality Manual RLS GLOBAL actively focus on the following areas which have the greatest environmental impact:

  • We follow and respect regulatory requirements established by society concerning the environment . We monitor and act if necessary, to phase out substances identified on requirements for REACH "Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals."
  • Reduced climate impact from transportation

Fraud and Corruption

RLS GLOBAL does not accept in any form fraud involving the use of deception, dishonesty and breach of confidence to gain unfair or dishonest advantage. RLS GLOBAL does not tolerate bribery (promising, offering, giving, accepting or soliciting of something of value for the purpose of influencing the actions of the recipient) or corruption {abuse of entrusted power for personal gain which can take the forms of bribery, extortion, kickbacks and improper private or professional benefits) in its business practices.

Compliance

All employees receive training in RLS GLOBAL’s code of conduct and compliance with the Code of Conduct is a matter for the management team. Every manager has an obligation within his or her area of responsibility to ensure that employees and business partners are informed of the contents of our code of conduct and the need for compliance with it. Reports of violation of this code may be done anonymously and confidentially to the HR Director and the Chairman of the Board
